Harmonica Fight
We received an Easter package on Friday from Big Alex and Jess. One of the treasures inside was a harmonica for Alex. Alex was first introduced to the harmonica in Idaho. Unfortunately not only was Alex excited for this new instrument but so was Adam. Adam and Alex fought over it all night. When I called Adam out on it later he claimed he was just trying to teach Alex how to share. But I am pretty sure Adam got to use it longer than Alex. Today Alex was excited to have some private time to practice and enjoy it while Adam was at work.

Ward Egg Hunt
Our ward had a small egg hunt today for the primary children. Alex was so excited and got very upset when Adam told him he had reached his 10 eggs/person limit and then had to be physically removed from the scene to keep him from continuing the hunt.
They also had guessing jar full of jelly beans. Alex kept trying to pull the jar off the table so that he could get some. I finally took him over to it and let him help me write his name and number guess on a slip of paper. I honestly just looked at the jar and picked a random number and wrote it down. I told Adam we had guessed 749 and he said "that is funny because I was thinking 750." Then they announced that Alex had won the jar and had guessed the exact number, 749.
Even though I have no idea what we are going to do with all these jelly beans, Alex was pleased!

Kimball's
Alex and I met up with friends from our ward at Kimball Farm to cap off Patriot's Day. Needless to say Alex loved the cookie mint icecream choice.

Battle on the Green
The Lexington Green is the location of the opening shots of the American Revolution in 1775. It is about a 10 minute drive from our condo. Adam got up at 4am and went with some friends from work to watch the re-enactment at 5am before going in to work. What a great way to start Patriot's Day.
Before moving to Mass I couldn't have even told you what Patriot's Day is and when it is, but around here it is a big deal. There are historical activities all weekend long and it is also the day of the Boston marathon, which is why some people call it "Marathon Monday."
