Web Chat

Lately we have been web chatting with Paige about every Sunday. We say the words "web chat" and Alex runs over to the desk, climbs on the chair and then crawls up on the desk, crosses his legs and sits right in front of the computer. The minute Paige pops up on the screen Alex starts his demands.

First he says Mammi (Ang-ee). Then he starts signing and saying doggy (goggy). Paige takes the computer to the dog, Bruno, to let Alex see him. Then Alex starts waving his arm around so Paige will turn the computer a little bit to get a better view of Bruno's tail rapidly waving back and forth. Then he wants Paige to get Bruno some bread to eat piece by piece like a duck. Next he wants to see the truck (guk). Once that is all taken care of Paige sits down in the kitchen. Alex starts balking like a chicken and if Randy is around he will sometimes go out to the chicken coop, catch a chicken, and bring it inside to show Alex. Next he starts signing and saying baby (beebee). Paige brings out her black, baby doll and Alex signs passey so that Paige will put the doll's pacifier in it's mouth. The passey sign is done by making a sound with his throat while smacking his fist against his mouth. Then finally Alex crawls off the desk and runs to get his bucket of animals to bring back to the desk. Paige asks him about each animal. If Paige leaves the screen for a minute Alex puts his face close to the screen like he is trying to look around the corner looking for Paige.

This is pretty much the routine every time we web chat with Paige. She is so good to put up with this monotony.
